The Church of the Wandering Turtle Creed
1. All people are to be treated the same regardless of skin, culture, gender, age, or beliefs
2. All beliefs are to be treated with the same care and study
3. It does not matter whether you believe in god or gods or no god, the only thing that matters is if god believes in you
4. If you accept that god or gods exist then god cannot be vain or egotistical or possessive or destructive or have any of the negative attributes of man, therefore we can conclude that when such an attribute is attached to god it can be reasonably accepted that the passage or saying must be wrong
5. If you accept that god or gods exist then god must be free from those things that are commonly associated with weakness, and/or instability, such as jealousy, anger, obsessiveness, cruelty, and so forth
6. It is not necessary to believe in god or gods, as god is not vain or insecure in need of the devotion and/or worship of man to satisfy or justify it’s existence
7. We are all related…everyone in this world is a relative of everyone else…therefore everyone on the planet now and the past constitutes one family unit
8. As we are all related we must treat each other with the same respect and consideration we expect for ourselves
9. We must never judge another man’s beliefs upon what we don’t know but rather upon what we do know
10. Our beliefs are our own, we cannot expect others to understand our beliefs if we don’t understand them ourselves
11. If a man, after instruction, does not understand, is that the fault of the pupil or the teacher?
12. Truth, regardless of how devastating, is preferable to believing a lie.
